Are you ready to ‘go a-Viking'?

I hope so! (And if you join me, I‘ll explain that peculiar phrase.)

After 31 land-locked months, I’m going on another Viking cruise — this time to Scandinavia, or what they call the ‘Viking Homelands.’ We‘ll learn more about Nordic history in a bit, but evidently their ‘homelands’ include Poland and Germany along with Sweden, Denmark and Norway. I was last there in 1969, so it’s time to go back!
