Stormy Sunset
It's a bit doctored and comes off like a watercolor but, what the hell, it’s pretty, no?
The drama du jour was the captain coming on the PA at dinner identifying himself as ‘the captain’ and not as ‘your designated driver’ as he usually does. He told us that within 30 minutes, a helicopter would land on an upper deck to transport a passenger to a New Zealand hospital, and we should all stay where we were and not go to decks 7, 8, or 9. We heard the chopper arrive, then we saw it circle and return. We deduced it couldn’t land on the first pass. But it did on the second and the passenger was med-evac’ed away. We may — or may not — find out more details tomorrow. I am now friends with a doctor on board — not THE doctor, just a passenger doctor. I imagine he will have the best information, since I’ve previously believed a lot of what I’ve heard and it apparently has been, shall we say, less that totally accurate. There have been a lot of respiratory and flu ailments on board, with lines out the door of the clinic, so who knows what this person’s issue was.
