This showed up alongside late afternoon. I thought it was a tug that would be with us till we leave port around 11, but he left without us. Now that I think of it, maybe it’s not a tug. I'll see tugs tomorrow, since they ply the Canal. [My friend and neighbor Ross, who has circumnavigated the globe many, many times on cargo ships, has an update: This is a fuel barge. That idea had entered my head but, finding nothing to latch on to, it left again.]

Looked up from working on the blog and saw this passing by... Holland America’s Zuiderdam. Google says: ‘At the heart of Zuiderdam, suspended in a three-story atrium, is a Waterford Crystal Seahorse.’ Haven't spotted any seahorses on the Sun. #
