‘All ashore who’s going ashore!’

At each stop along the way — all 64 of them — Viking includes one ‘shore excursion.’ These might be a two- or three-hour scenic tour of the port city or a visit to a famous site. But passengers can also purchase additional excursions that are more unusual, far-flung, or customized to personal taste, like Nature (a hike or Jeep tour), or Culture (a museum or monument), or UNESCO site, etc. I never counted how many of these extra excursions were being offered, sometimes there were 4 or even 8 at a stop, but I know how hard it was to pick what I wanted to do and fit all the possibilities into the daily calendar.
