I hope you’ve all been following the Comments with your ‘votes’ in the latest Name that Cloud competition.

I look out my stateroom window and if a cloud reminds me of something immediately, I shoot it and post it. For this one...

... I knew right away that it reminded me of a rearing stallion.

I didn’t have to google a photo of one as ‘proof’ bec...

While at the Firewalking locale, I was so tempted to buy 6 of these ensembles for the Ukululus.

Would you believe they didn't have 6 in our size?

Numerous pachydermian replies: Barbar, Celeste in a Tutu, Dumbo with his Feather, Ganesh.... I thought a meditating Elephant in the Sukhasana position. All good! I’ll keep my eye out for more interesting clouds — they are WONDERFUL in this part of the world, don’t you agree?

Having just left Fiji (will take a while to concoct that post — lots of p...

I took this while having a Pinot Grigio in the Explorer’s Lounge on Deck 7, at the bow of the ship. TWO nights ago. Internet is VERY slow...

Okay, I enhanced the contrast. But isn't it adorable?

WHO or WHAT does it look like to you?

I mean, besides wine and espresso gelato.

Some time ago one of my at-home bridge buddies asked me, ‘Won’t you get lonely for five months?’ Well, after my close encounter with a fish of the dead kind yesterday, it’s too bad that, with all its other services, Viking has yet to offer this one. Guess it would go against their almost-but-not-quite-iron...

Don’t have a pictorial record of yesterday’s send-off lunch with mon ami Nigel, but here’s the penultimate bon voyage event last night — supper with amici Kay & Sue & Hugh & Les (my arms were barely long enough) followed by the ultimate bon voyage event — breakfast chez moi this morning with mia amica Rebecca. She was treated to whatever I had left...

I still have a couple vintage Army trunks, stenciled ‘Major G. A. Nash....

They awoke early, nervous that one or the other was overweight, so they juggled their contents and switched packing cubes back and forth, jumped on and off TWO scales a dozen times, until Sammy yelled, ‘Basta!‘ and Tommy chimed, ‘Fini!’

Then the poor kids had to wait allllll day to be taken away by the nice man in the big brown truck.

Not a surprise but a wonderful send-off — lunch with most of the Ukululus. Including an original song. Though sung sotto voce, people at tables near us asked for an encore! Here’s the chorus... you can guess the melody. #

Home Home on the sea,

Stopping port after port, duty free.

She may not get rest,

But sheʼll be dressed in her best,

Sitting pool...

This time two weeks from today, I will be on board, unpacked, and all settled in aboard the good ship Viking Sun

I fly to Miami the 13th, two days early, and embark the 15th for Cuba and parts unknown, at least heretofore unknown to me.

The “List of Lists” is being accomplished, slowly, one noisome chore at a time.

And, b...
