Sihanoukville, Cambodia, March 20 — The promised photo essay on the tiny fishing village of Tumnop Rolok, which we visited the same day we saw the Sihanoukville market and trash-strewn temple, about 4 weeks ago.

Personal shrines at households or businesses are common. This is a meat market...

This little girl isn’t school age, but we’d been told that kids were given the day off from school to see the westerners visit their village. It took the girl a while to warm up, but her mother was all smiles.
